Bri, played by newcomer actress Jahzir Bruno, lives with her mother and brother, struggling to make ends meet. Despite their financial struggles, Bri’s mother wants her to focus on college while Bri just wants to become a rapper.
One day at school, Bri gets into a physical altercation with a security guard who wrongly accuses her of carrying drugs. The incident goes viral online and puts Bri’s talent as a rapper into the spotlight. With newfound attention, she has one shot to make it big on stage at an upcoming rap battle.

The Casts
